Ok, here is my experience so far with MSI K7T Turbo-R (RAID):

I bought this mobo on Saturday. I was looking for the non-RAID version because I don?t need or use RAID, but my local distributor only has the RAID one. Btw, it?s quite cheap over here (Indonesia), only US$ 123.
I have a Duron 600 which can hit 1020MHz@1.85V stable on Abit KT7 (the mobo is my uncle?s). Why I didn?t buy Abit? Well, cause I don?t trust their quality and I had bad experienced with Abit BE6-2 1.2. Anyway, my Turbo come with BIOS 2.4 which is the latest I known (except for the oc BIOS, but it?s for Turbo only, not for the RAID). After some tweaking the most stable I can get is 866 (I don?t have enough time to try, must go to school =>).

Some problems and issues I encountered:
- The voltage doesn?t seems right. If I set the voltage for 1.525V and I will get 1.65V which is off by 0.125V. I?m not brave enough to try 1.85V, maybe I can get around +/- 2V!! Oh yeah, the BIOS shows 1.65V and MBM too. What do you think?
- I can?t turn off RAID. I tried everything but I still couldn?t turn it off. There is an option ?Boot from other device? in the BIOS and I tried to disabled it but RAID still showing up whenever I boot my computer. Anybody knows the solution?
- My temp. seems to high for me. I get 45C/111F idle and around 50C full load. Is it to high? I?m using Taisol CEK734092 with YS-Tech fan from GW FOP32. I?m using a good thermal grease and when I touch the heatsink it feels about right (between 40-50C)
- The highest multiplier I can use is 6 and 6.5. Anything above, it won?t boot. Anyone has the same problem?
- Anyone try using the oc BIOS with this mobo?

Ok, I think that enogh =), I?m waiting for some reply. Sorry about the poor english, it isn?t my local language =).

Thanks,

Martin

Hi!

I'm having the same "problems" as you have. The voltage is a bit above what I select in the BIOS, and the temperature is 6-8 degrees higher than I've had with other boards and the same CPU and HSF. Kind of strange.

But I've been able to run my Duron 650 MHz at 866 MHz(133 MHz bus) and 900 MHz(100 MHz bus).

I'll talk to MSI about it on Monday..

you should be happy when you get extra voltage

extra voltage mean extra juice from your cpu :)

martin00, i got the same voltage problems as well... mobo is flashed to the v16 overclocking bios... another problem i have is with the AGP and PCI divider... they're still stuck at 2/3 and 1/3 respectively at my 145mhz fsb... that's what i need help on... even though my system seems to run fine at these agp and pci speeds, it's not good in the long run and i wanna get it fixed... any help??

my idle temp of my tbird 900 oc'ed 7x145 is 37C, and full load is ard 43C, which isn't too bad... my memory bandwidth scores are also tops, sisoft scores ard 508/580
