My 1st build. Help.

Hi guys, I am thinking of building a pc, but I have only a few of the parts decided.

CPU:Intel 4790k
16 Gb Ram (Which model?)
1TB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive 6.0 Gb/s (Which model?)
125 gb SSD (Which model?)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745 4GB DDR3
N900 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express AdapterTL-WDN4800 -$69

I would probably be purchasing from this website. Or if anyone knows any websites with cheaper prices (in singapore), let me know. 🙂

I do not know which motherboard or PSU or case to get.
Fan cooling only.
Case: would want something with dust filter.
Accessories not needed.

Budget: <1500

How should I complete the build? 🙂

What are the main uses for this system going to be? If it's going to be gaming I would straight away ditch the GTX 745 for either a GTX 960 or a R9 280. Will need more info before proceeding though.

What's this build for? Gaming? If so, I'd cut back on the CPU (4690K or non-K), maybe the RAM, and put more in to the GPU.

If this is for CAD or something your choices make more sense, but I'd still consider other options.

Will you be overclocking? What is your monitor's resolution?

Edit: A few things I can suggest:

RAM: Generally, the cheapest you can find running at 1.5V. (The only brand I don't recongize is Avexir.)
HDD: I don't know of any really bad brands here either. Aim for 7200RPM.
SSD: The cheapest model from Crucial (excluding VX models which don't seem to be available anyway), or Samsung. On your site the Crucial MX100 seems to be cheapest.

Thanks for the replies! Sorry if I am not being specific enough. The pc would be for general use. I would probably use it for programming, some gaming, and maybe editing but I don't use CAD. Not sure what games I would be playing though. My current laptop heats up really quick, so I cannot game or run any intense programs. That is why I want a new pc.

But, I guess a gaming pc would probably do what I think I need it to do.

The GPU selected (GTX 745) is based on the specs for one of Dell's XPS models. I didn't know which to choose, gotta start somewhere.

I don't think I would be overclocking. (Not familiar with it)
My monitor resolution is 1920x1080.

Check out the system in the midrange builder's guide. That'll get you a base system which is capable of playing any game out there, plus basic tasks. You'll need to add a operating system license, a monitor, and a mouse and keyboard. Here's what I would recommend:

Windows 8.1 $120
ASUS V239H-P $160 AR
Rosewill RK-8300 $20
Logitech G302 $45

The keyboard and mouse are very personal choices, so feel free to choose different models if you know you would like different ones.
