This is my 1st try at creating a gaming rig that is less than $500. This one actually has all of the components included. I see a lot of builds that seem to be missing the optical drive.

whoa 2008 called they want their cpu/mobo back. LGA 775 is old. 1150 is what you need to be looking at.

Now that you have posted the same question twice did you get a chance to look at http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2389797 ???

If you're going to buy old 775 stuff,you might as well get used from ebay.
e8500s go for about $25
g41 motherboard..about $35
I think spam might be incoming.
