I know my cpu hasn't always been running 200MHZ slower but now for some reason it is. It now shows up as 800 MHz when it is really a 1GHz T-Bird.

It shows 800 during the POST, in DXDIAG and even in a Radeon Tweaker I have. I've never overclocked this chip and I checked the BIOS settings and they are all the same as before.

I haven't made any major changes (I installed a NIC and I downloaded RC5 but that's about it) and I need some input on what to do. I want my 1GHz speed back :(

edit: My motherboard is a MSI K7T Turbo /w raid

what is the fsb set at?

why dont you manually set the fst and multiplier where you want them
example 7.5 x 133 = 1ghz or 10 x 100 = 1ghz

After changing nearly every frequency/voltage setting, it still shows 800MHz during POST. I don't get it. My FSB and multipliers were already set to show 1GHz and when I manually changed them, the computer would only restart after I turned the power off. When I turned it back on, it still showed 800MHz. Weird... :(
