My 19" Planar LCD loses video in DVI?

I have a 19" Planar CT1904ADU LCD monitor that does fine in analog mode. I finally got the new DVI cable and I hooked it all up it shows the boot info, scan disk, etc, but right before it actually boots to Win 98se the video goes away and the dreaded "no video" box comes up and the power light blinks. I tried plugging it directly to the wall socket that did not help, I run a 430 watt Enermax PSU and a G3 Ti 500. Any ideas?
