For my 100th, I have some great respect for most of you out there. Many questions have been answered form looking into the threads and seeing most people respond with intelligent remarks and ideas. I praise you all !! I have learned a lot and I am still learning as most of are. Again thanks! 😀

Now I have a question here............I just RMAed my PC1066 RDram / 256 because no matter what I tried, It could not handle x4. Now this means, 4x533= 1066 correct? Ya, thats what I thought.... I purchased it in June or this year, and it was their housebrand/samgsung memory. I talked to a human and not a machine at where I got the ram from and, they said not a problem, they will help me? They are going to trade me for the kingston.------- My Questions is,--------- why are they selling PC1066 that cant even get itself to 1.066Ghz? I checked the FSB at 133 and its right on the mark? Well maybe a .31v over but what the heck....Anyway Asus does overvolt a tad but nothing to be alarmed about... I turned off the turbo if anyone was to ask. I tried getting out of them, what was the nanosecs were, and it doesnt specify. As for the kingston, that too wasnt specified. So, I told them to bench the ram BEFORE they send it. Some input in this matter would be great! So, I can make sure "the next time I buy" wont happen. Thanks in advance!😉

You had the same problem as I had. I ordered from www.componentsdirect.com the Samsung pc1066. But, my Asus p4t533-c would not work at rdram setting at 4x. They let me return the Samsung and get Kingston. Every since I have been able to set my rdram to 4x and run at 1066. I also have the turbo turned on. The Kingston is rated at 34 nanosecond. The Samsung pc1066 I got were actually pc800-40ns. The company had put a pc1066 sticker over the pc800-40ns part. I found out the truth after I compared the part number on the memory with what was on Samsung's website. You should have no problems with the Kingston brand. Good luck with your system.

wow...congrats on your 100th post...
anyway...you should check up the part # with samsung...if in fact it doesn't match like VSEKH said...then you should BLOW UP in front of the person who sells you the mem... call the cops on them... do whatever you can to make them stop selling stuff that is not what it is... and then get your kingston pc1066 somewhere else... that's false advertising... suit them if you can...get a free computer and let all their customer know about their bad business practice...
just my 2 cents

I must thank you for the advice on this matter.. I appriciate it! 😉 I will look into this!!!!:disgust:
