I finally switched all the way to Opera, mainly for security reasons. Now I'm trained to type "g <search term" in the address bar, and expect it to take me somewhere. I guess I'm stuck.

True, I do love that. The only thing keeping me is that bookmark thing at the top of the browser, so I can just click rather than looking through all of my bookmarks or typing in the address.

I don't understand why people gripe about how much RAM FF takes ... the minimum someone should have in a newer PC is 1GB, 768 MINIMUM. And if you have RAM, USE IT

183Mb.

286MB here. I had as many as 14 tabs open but now have only 7 open. Unfortunately closing tabs does not seem to affect the amount of RAM being used.

i LOVE how every so often, whenever i hit the apostrophe or forward-slash button, the "find" command is executed. it's so nice of firefox to automatically know that sometimes, whenever i'm in the middle of typing, i'

oh, another REALLY awesome thing about firefox is how sometimes whenever i highlight and copy something from one window, i can't paste it on another window. yeah, it's so awesome. it really makes me practice my dexterity because i have to switch windows a couple times and try again in order for it to work.

one last thing that is one of my favorite things about firefox is how every so often whenever i'm in the middle of typing, the cursor will move back a letter and i didn't ever have to use my mouse to go bcka.

in short, firefox can suck my shaved nutsac. it USED to be sweet... now, it's full of bugs and i can't take it anymore.

i'm fine with using ie 7... i do wish that it had the same search function, though (not the apostrophe or slash button glitch... i'm talking about ctrl+f).

i don't use FF. i use opera and now with like 10 tabs, it's only 30MB. the best thing about Opera is mouse gestures. don't know if something similar exists in FF but i just right click and move the mouse left instead of clicking on the next button. works really well.

I have no choice but to use firefox, my IE is completely hax0red.
I was downloading some a cellphone program from a Chinese website and the exe fubared my IE. Now everytime I open it I get mega pop-ups and can't go to any other links.

I don't even have to move my mouse to go back, it has this special button on it that I can push and it'll go back! And another button to go forward. This is super new tech tho, so you might not have heard about it. :)

no kidding. all in one gestures is a plugin for firefox that does more than enough. plus it has the option of making the gestures visible so you can see what you are drawing. i just don't like how opera handles tab focus and all that, plus it seems to have a page loading lag. the integrated torrent thing bugs me too, theres just way too many small things wrong with opera to bother
