Hey, I recently put together a 1700+ Athlon XP System using an ecs k7s5a. It boots as a 1100Mhz cpu and it is also read as a 1100Mhz in SisSandra 2002. I am pretty sure that if i flash the bios to the latest update the problem will be resolved. However, I was wondering if the CPU is actually operating at 1.1Ghz or it is just being viewed at that speed? I was having trouble updating the bios, so if it is just viewed as a 1.1ghz cpu i dont really care, but if it is only operating at that speed, then it definatly needs to be fixed. Thanks.

Did you set the cpu bus in the BIOS?

The bus is supposed to be 133, not 100 as you now have it set.

Yup. Happened to me too, a 1.4 posted as 700 mhz... just adjust the FSB to 133/133 and your all set.
