MX700: Short Battery Life?

I just got that mouse (yeah, I know, a bit late on the bandwagon) and initially I put it on the charger, and it indicated fully charged within an hour by its LED turning off. Then it ran out in about another hour. So I charged it again this time leaving it on for a full day, and ever since, its batteries have only been lasting about half a day before dying completely. Any ideas?

I use mine an ungodly amount of hours each day and only need to charge it every few days.

Mine runs for about 8 hours even after the warning charge LED starts flashing.

get g7 or mx1000 🙂 awesome battery life

I don't have to recharge the mx1000 for a 4 days and i use it for 5hrs a day 🙂

G7 comes with two battery cartridge , so if one is empty just take it out and load the new one and put empty battery for charging 🙂

It was the batteries. Tried another set of batteries and it was fine. I think I'm going to see if I can get an exchange, though, because this one also has a problem where it takes a bit of time (miliseconds) to start tracking again after being lifted off the table, which is really bad for gaming. I'm hoping that isn't just a property of the MX700. And hopefully I won't have to spend my own money buying a couple NiMH cells.

Already tried that. I wouldn't consider my charger a "good" one, but it certainly hasn't given me any problems in the past. I wonder why the batteries would go bad... stored for too long? Having sustained impact somewhere along the way? Who knows...

Ive recently had charge problems with my MX700 but Ive had it for well over a year.

Sometimes a lack of charge, sometimes it will last all day. Used the charger and my own one to no conclusive effect.

mine too.

but i had the same batteries for 2 years before i replaced them.

towards the end of the batteries life, the mouse only lasted a few hours.

with new batteries, they last 2 days or so 🙂
