mx700 seems a little *floaty*

It's hard to explain.. but the mouse cursor seems a bit less responsive that my wired ifeel mouseman... Is there some special logitech utility I'm not using? I use my touchpad when away from my desk.. is that affecting it?
 
As much as I tried, I just could never get used to the heavier "feel" of the MX700. Are you used to a light wired mouse? If yes, I'd say it's just hard to adjust to the heavier weight of the MX.
