MX700 - Program specific customizing

I've had an Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 for a long time, but I just got the wireless Logitech MX700. I like it so far, but I was a little taken aback when I noticed that there was no way to customize the buttons according to which program I was using. Is there any way to do program specific customization like Microsoft's Intellimouse software allows? If not, I'm afraid I'm going back to my old mouse.
