MX700 Extra buttons stop workin

So... first boot one user all my extra buttons and scroll wheel work fine on my MX700. If another user logs in and then I go back to mine none of them work any more until I reboot. Is this just logitech drivers being squirrely? Workaround?

That happens with the logitech mice I use as well.

Yup, i get the same problem! Its been driving me nuts, so at least I know its not just mine.

I have an mx700 and I do not have this problem. Did you guys install the software on the cd that came with it? I had several problems after installing from the cd and I may have had this one. Updates didn't help much. Uninstalled and just went plug and play. No problems since. One button doesn't work but I never used the change application button so I don't care.

You know what, I noticed if you use switch user instead of logging off the other user you don't get the problem. But that's stupid, I don't want extra resources tied up.

When you installed mouseware you selected "For current user only" or something like that. Or perhaps the other user disabled mouseware's startup item using msconfig or similar.
