MX700 Duo - keyboard lag

Ok, another Logitech MX Duo user with some issues.

First off, the bundled MX700 mouse is great. No complaints.

But I'm getting noticeable lag issues with the included keyboard. I'm guessing that unlike the mouse, it does not use the new "FastRF" technology and is actually using an older/slower wireless protocol (?).

Any way I can reduce lag on the keyboard? I'm a fast typer, so if I can't solve this I think I may have to go back to a wired keyboard (whilst keeping the MX700).

Already tried moving the base station around my work area and putting in some brand-new Duracell Ultra M3's on the kb (although I didn't actually think replacing batteries would have any effect). Nothing changed...

Also, I've tried switching from the USB ports to the PS/2 adapters (for both devices). Also had no effect on keyboard lag.

I have had this issue also. From what I've seen it has to do with your keyboard being too close to the base station, Logitech says it should be 3 feet away from electrical devices.

I have had no problems with my keyboard but I am 1-2 feet away from the station. Also check to make sure nothing is blocking the signal because for me I was having some problems but it turned out my mouse was blocking the signal. Moved the mouse and have had no problems.

thanks for the responses! anything else?

BTW, i don't think they want it 3 *feet* away from most electrical devices as that would take it off most people's computer desks.
3 feet is 36 inches!

Could be a driver conflict with some other periperal device.
I had this problem with my microsoft wireless keyboard once I installed the drivers for it. (without the drivers it worked perfectly).

I have two MX Duos and I can't tell a difference in keyboard compared to my Logitech Elite. I type about 100wpm.

I can notice a difference between the wireless MX700 and my MX500 though. The MX700 feels like it lags.

Maybe try moving the base station to several different spots and see if it changes anything at all. The first change might have had the same interference.
