MX518 or G5?

I'm leaning heavily towards the MX518 for price, colour, and 2 buttons instead of one. And because I can live with "only" 1600DPI.

Question. Does the MX518 have tilt wheel?

Any other arguments for G5?

Isn't the G7 and G5 the same exact thing, except one is cordless and the other isn't?

g5 all the way! i can only think of 2 reasons to go for the mx518 instead
- cost (but the g5 has been under 55 shipped at many online locations)
- loss of the "forward" button on the side of the mouse

Other than that, I would say it is better in every way than the mx518...

518.

I love my orig 500 to death..I can't imagine you would really need more than the 518.

MX518 it is. For $30CDN less, it's an easy choice I guess.

Maybe $55USD shipped, try finding a Canadian one.

Though it still leaves the question, is there a tilt wheel?

The scroll wheel can tilt left and right to scroll in each respective direction.

MX518 doesnt have the tilt wheel, unfourntunatly, but still a great mouse at the $30 CDN savings.

G5 is a waste of money the weights are unneed and they tend to move around some when using it

I have a G5, a G7 and a MX510.
The MX510 was good, but after I got used to the G5, there is no going back.
I don't like the G7 for some reason though.

Edit: I still don't know what the tilt wheel is for, I never install the mouse software though.
