I got the MX5000 combo, which includes the MX1000 laser mouse. I don't like the G7 because of the thumb buttons. So I decided to try the MX5000 combo because I liked the keyboard better than the new MS Laser Mouse 6000. The mouse is also much more comfortable to use, however I'm having an issue.

In Firefox, the back/forward buttons won't work. I searched google, and found a mod that can be applied to make it work, but it's not official. Is there another work around without using a modded program to change the mouse settings? Or is Logitech working on a fix? Is it even worth keeping the thing ($150 worth?) If not, I'll bring it back until a product comes out that I can agree with and use the way I want.

Thanks

Nevermind. I ended up finding a solution on the mozilla forums. However, the question still remains. Is it even worth keeping? Doesn't this mouse only have 800 dpi compared to 2000 dpi for the new ones? That would make the price around the same, and performance not as good. I do love it though, it's comfortable. Will think some more about returning it or not.
