Hi, just bought this mouse....

Logitech MX500 mouse. 800DPI high resolution mouse. 100DPI for serial, 200DPI for PS/2, 400DPI for USB...(correct me if i am wrong)

this mouse is a corded mouse. I bought this for $60~

comparing Logitech Cordless Mouse Man for the same price... which will u prefer?

I know i know, MX500 is new and has mx engine, so precise but for $60 for a corded mouse...

i know someone is going to bang my head really hard especially for those MX500 owners(hey, i am one of them too).

also, if they keyboard uses USB, this mouse use USB too... this already takes 2 USB ports ... may need a USB hub

If it looks like and repost, and smells like a repost, then it must be a repost. 🙂

Basically Faye, if you don't like the MX500, then take it back. Personally, having a wireless mouse really wasn't a priority for me, which is why I went with the MX500. I know myself (and most of everyone else around here) can't find anything wrong with the MX series.....I love it.

FYI, I was in Staples last week and saw where they had the MX500 on sale for $39.95. It's been like that for several weeks now...as that's what I paid for mine at Staples about 3-4 weeks ago. If cash is a concern, find a coupon for Staples.com and you could probably get the mouse down to roughly $30.

a post that i was asking how will u use the mx500, a post that i was asking why u will give the mx500..

ok.. i love the mouse too... convenient buttons and very comfortable on hands.

but it is a bit costy and what i don't like the most is its corded.

i am wondering if staples in canada will have the similar deal. cuz i bought it at futureshop for $80 plus tax(cdn)

If you don't like the cord, take it back and get the MX700. Same layout, without the cord.

"I liked the MX700 so much, I bought the company!" (Ok, not really, but.......)

faye if you don`t want to take it back for a MX700 ,your other option is try the Mouse bungee review here ,I find it works great with my corded Logitech,I don`t really notice the cord using it,gives you sort of cordless feel IMHO and no cord snagging, you can buy them from here at Eveglide.com .

Mem, i heard about that thingy too... kinda nice, my friend has one, but his movement is so big epecially when he is killed in UT. everything collapse, the first thing is the "thingy"

but his movement is so big epecially when he is killed in UT

You can get round that, what I have is acceleration set on full,my mouse movement from left edge to right edge of screen in travel is only about one inch of movement on my Everglide pad.

hahaa, it took me 2 inches to travel from left to right...

however, what i mean by big movement is he has a big reaction...
