i think its a pretty decent budget card...my friend has 2 and they play most games pretty good.

It's a decent budget card, but with the Radeon LE, and GF2 GTS-V, and Kyro 2 all selling at similar price points and providing superior performance it wouldnt be my first choice.

It's a decent card, but unless you're getting a good deal on it, I would agree with Rand and say that you could get better for cheaper.

since we're talking about cheap video cards, how does a RadeonVE 64mb DDR fare?

Here is a link to an AT Radeon comparison chart. The VE is hardware crippled(i.e 64 bit memory bus and no hardware T&L). It makes a good choice for 2D work and DVD playback, but not gaming, unfortunately. BTW, I'd also recommend the Radeon LE DDR.
