mx300 sound vs AC ' 97 Compliant 3D Audio CODEC

I just installed a new asus p4b motherboard which has an AC ' 97 Compliant 3D Audio CODEC built in. How does this built in sound compare with my old mx300 sound card? I mostly do gaming and the mx300 has always sounded good.

stick with the MX300. for gaming, it still rocks. for divx and dvd tho, i found the dialog was too low for me tho.
 
Even though the mx300 is a little outdated, I think it sounds much better than onboard audio. Except for the cmedia chips which sound pretty good.
