MX1000 Problem? - could be normal -

When my mx1000 is not used for a period of time (say 20 minutes to whatever), i seem to have a delay before it works again after i move it. i woke up today and moved my mouse but it didn't move till i moved it the second time, and after waiting for 20 or so minutes during which i was watchin a video, i had the same issue where it would not move at first then move as i continued moving the mouse. i guess its more like a delay after the mouse has not been used for a prolonged period of time, any users ever notice this?
 
The MX1000 does power down after 5 seconds or so,however I find the startup delay to be in milliseconds, so virtually instantaneous response with my MX1000.
