I just purchased two MX 700 mouses. I read that the batterys are suppose to last for a week or so. Both of our mouses last maybe 4 hours of gaming before the red LED starts to blink. Is this the norm or did we just get some junky batterys?

Thanks.

they ought to last longer, hard to say, I haven't had experience with them, but I know my non-mx logitech wireless mouse with normal AA batteries would last for a month...

Mine's fine. I game & on the comp a lot. But batteries dont die on me until the 4thday without charging. You gotta charge them longer if you just bought the mouse. 3 Full charges before it will reach max capacity.

I think you should invest in some new batteries - my mx700 gets *far* better battery life than that. If I'm gaming/using the computer a lot (4-5 hours a day) then it'll be 3 days or so before i get the blinking red light... If only I could remember to put it into the charger every night.... ;)

they should easily last a couple of days of heavy useage, but i tend to charge them everynight and haven't had a problem.

i assumed to you charged them fully before you started using them as per directions?

I don't think mine (2) would go for 4 days, but I find that simply remembering to put it away when I walk away from the 'pooter is a sure bet for no problems.... It's really not that difficult.

Mine lasts about 3-4 days, that's with a few hours of Counter-Strike each night. I wait until the red light comes on, then drop it in the charger before going to bed.

why don't you leave it charging at night? thats why they made the cradle. its a high performance wireless mouse, not a battery sipper. can always have a 2nd set sitting in a charger on standby.

It's not a matter of leaving it in the charger, I charge it every night. It is the fact that it dies after ~ 4hours of gaming. Was trying to see if this was normal or not. As that really sucks because I can't play once it's dead. :) I might just buy another pair of rechargeables. Can anyone recommend a good kind?

Did you make sure to allow the batteries to charge for 24 hours before first use? You might have just killed the batteries, or gotten junky batteries. I've had my mx700 for like a year now, and it'll run about 12 hours straight with the batteries it came w/. I put it in the charger every time I put the comp in standby.

It also takes a few recharges before it has max battery life.

After my first charge, I only got about 5-10 hours. After about my 3rd or 4th I started getting long ones.

On average mine lasts 2-3 days, but thats not a problem cuz i just pop it in the recharger each night before I go to bed..

I let it charge over night. When it's charging the light blinks green, after it's fully charged the LED turns solid green and then turns off after 5 minutes, per manual. When I took it off the charger in the morning ( a good 12 hours later) The LED was not on. So was pretty sure I let it stay on the charger for long enough. Doesn't say in the manual a time frame, just the LED blinking thing.

mine took about 4 recharges before it would last much longer than 3 or 4 hrs.

twice the dpi (resolution) of ms offerings, and refresh of 125hz usb, its the best wireless out.
