MX 700 Big disappointment

I got a logitech MX 700 along with the cordeless keyboard today, and boy does it suck. I have no complaint about the keyboard but the mouse responsiveness is the worst kind of thing that I've never had while using corded ones. I have read many reviews and others' stories and I can't believe every single one of them is positive one. Am I missing something? Anyone tried to play WC3 or Neverwinter Nights with that mouse? Geez..

Going to return it tomorrow. Sad I spent 2 hours looking for this mouse today.
 
What kind of surface are you using it with? My MX700 is much more finicky with surface types than my old Dual Optical, but with the right surface it's more precise and I love it, couldn't go back to cords 😀 What is ironic is that a $3 foam pad with a picture of snowmen (generally white throughout the surface) makes my MX700 perform better than with LitePads, RatPadz, fUnc sUrface 1030, Xtrac Pro HS, etc..

Another cause could be interference in the radio transmission. Have you tried moving the base around, laying it on its side, etc.?
 
yeah, i experienced similar issues when i got my mx700. But, I found most of my issues having to do with the surface it was on. Try different pads, and see which is best. Also, make sure your mouse dock is as far away from other elec. devices as possible.

Yup, just you. J/K, like already stated, get a different pad, preferably one that glides nicely and is smooth.
 
I hated it at first too. But then, sure enough, after switching surfaces it was great! I say, give it a week and you'll never even want to go back to the good ol corded mouse.
 
I had an MX-500.. same feel except with a cord... sweet mouse. I wouldn't buy cordless.. the cord doesn't bother me one bit.

did you install the latest driver from the website? try it. and change surface does help.


This is the best coreless mouse eva!
 
The MX700 probably is the best cordless mouse there currently is.

But in sheer performance? The Razor Boomslang 2k ownz it. I pitted the MX700 against it and returned the MX700 the next day...no contest.
 
i just got a MX700 (24hrs ago) and love it! 🙂

i just have it over a cheap mouse pad and it works great! 🙂
i have started playing with all the extra buttons yet to set it up and so far i am very happy with it. 😉
also got the elite keyboard and am happy with that too. 🙂
