My mx518 logitech has stop working for no sudden reason.
When plug in my PC tells me "USB Device Not Recognized"
The laser lights up if plug in just barely then it turns off when it is plug all the way in(but when using a ps/2 adapter it lights up but doesn't work)
Drivers are install
Comp USB Ports work properly already check them(Through Software)
USB Port Gold Plates on the mouse is fine

Haven't gotten the chance to test it in a diff comp ,but whats the issue here anyone?
I hope that it is not just dead cause i really rather save 60 buck instead of spending on a new mouse.

Check your USB port. Does it look ok, is it damaged?
Check the USB plug on the mouse. Look for damage.

Sounds like a bad connection.

Call logitech support & RMA ... the MX518 has a 3 year warranty & they will send you a new one with very little in the way of hassle.

Best way to go. Do it.

How old is your MX518? Mine is 6 months old at the most and the rubbery layer is already peeling off around where my thumb and ring/pinky fingers go. Think I got a dud coating, my old worn-out MX500 still has its rubber.
