MX 518 Mouse and KVM

I've got an MX 518 Mouse and a IOGear MiniView III USB KVM. This mouse doesn't work in the KVM. Anyone know a USB KVM that will work with this mouse?

I would have to believe the mouse is usb 2 and the kvm is usb 1.x and that's the problem.

Thanks,
-JC

USB 2.0 & 1.1 should still play nice...

Unfortunately considering how new the mouse is, i think your best bet is going to to buy & return till you find one that works with it.

Yeah, I plug this in the computer and it works just fine.

Found an article on Logitech's support sight that mentions it will not support it's products that are plugged in passthrough devices. This would include a KVM!

Bummer!

Your best bet is perhahps to have a cordless for one rig and your MX518 for another. That's how I have my setup. KVM is great for keyboard/monitor, buy my gaming rig has the MX518 while my "work" machine has a cordless. Swapping out is as easy as double tapping the key (IOGear KVM), grabbing the right mouse and moving the mouse not in use out of the way. This works well for my setup, and the cordless feature of the work machine mouse makes it easy to move out of the way.

Well, my MX510 works great through my KVM.

Trying using a PS2 KVM & using the USB > PS2 adaptor with the mouse.

Works for me.

How does it perform while gaming? I thought the PS2 connection would make it run slower!
