I was killing time at the Ford dealership yesterday (don't ask) and they had a mazda dealership next door. For the hell of it, I went over and asked for any dates they had with regards to the MX-5 power hardtop. They told me that there was one on a car carrier in the back and that if I had time, they'd take me out to see it. Alas, I had to get back to the office and when I returned today, it turned out that it didn't come off the carrier and went to another dealer. However, they told me if I wanted a test drive (since some of the salesmen were as exited about that car as I am), they told me they'd call me sometime in the next week when they get their first one.
Woot. I'm going to get to see it first hand next week :beer:
Will post impressions. Pricing for all of the packages is now on Vehix.com btw. The GT trim with the premium package (advanced keyless entry, etc) is going to go for ~26k MSRP. I think that model will have heated leather too...
