A girl I know recently broke up with her boyfriend, and frankly, it's the most hilarious thing I've heard for quite some time. They were already on thin ice, and this was just the last straw, but I still found it quite amusing...
It went something like this:

Girl calls up guy.
Girl: Hey, I'd like to go out tonight...(friday night)
Guy: Er, sorry, I can't take you out tonight.
Girl: Oh, OK. What's going on? Working late?
Guy: Well, not exactly...but I really can't make it.
Girl: Huh? Then what's going on?
Guy: Well...if you want to know...I'm going to a LAN party.
Girl: WTF is a LAN party?
Guy: Er, well, I'm going to hang around with my friends.
Girl: That's it?
Guy: Uh...

And so the story went. Girl calls me and wants to know WTF a LAN party, is, and after I find out why she seemed so interested, I told her....well, not quite in that order, I kind of laughed my ass off for about 5 minutes before telling her where he went. Then she proceeded to belt out "WHAT THE HELL? He's not going out with me on a friday night because he has to go play video games?! That POS!" and called him up to let him know just where they stood.
