Or the robber may have sent a note saying something about a bomb being hidden in the bank earlier in the day and that if he didn't get his money and drive off that he'd drive off and detonate the bomb?

This is not funny and I have a personal story that relates to this. My Mom used to work at a bank and she was put in a similar situation. She was sent a note through the drive through tubes but her bank has a window through which they can see the cars. The note said that the guy had a bomb and he held up something that looked like it was wired to explode when my mom looked at him. He also held up something that looked like a trigger.

She kept her cool and gave her the bank notes that tellers use to track robberies (Notes that look normal but their numbers are registered and are never given out unless its a robbery). She also got a good look of the guy and his car, guessed the direction he drove off to right and he was caught within 2 hours with the notes she gave him. She got an award for keeping her cool and getting the robber caught.

jassai, you just ruined a perfectly funny news story with your 'reality'. :p

Kudos to your mom, seriously. Must suck big time to be a teller sometimes. And I've heard they are triained to hand over the money and not risk anything, rather than make a judgement call that could get them and thier co-workers killed. Sounds like we were all kinda laughing at this teller without thinking about it...
