Generally, flat rate shipping is a term used by USPS for what ever fits into a given flat rate box. If it takes 2 boxes, it becomes 2 flat rates. :)

I guess you'll have to ask MWave how they define it.

I wouldn't dare to buy an item that has such poor English in its product description:
"High-Power Adapter comply with"
"Surf the Web faster and more flexibly"

Must be cheapest that you've seen or what?

It is my understanding that the DEFINITION of "flat rate" shipping, is that you pay a flat rate regardless of quantity ordered.
No...flat rate shipping customarily means you pay the same whether the item is being shipped 26 miles or 2600 miles. i.e. it doesn't increase with the distance shipped but it could very well increase with the quantity ordered.

I would tend to agree with this, but when they list 1.99 it would seem you could expect the entire order to ship for that price.

Guess we'll have to see what their sales people say when he calls them.

Its exactly like Newegg, before Newegg used to specify (very recently) the shipping charge per unit. You might expect that if you're not accustomed to buying anything and having it shipped to you - ever. I can't think of any examples to the contrary.

Well, it seems that I won't be ordering from Mwave after all anyways. I tried ordering a single unit, for around $10 including shipping, and they wouldn't let me ship to a different address than my billing address. I'm on vacation right now.
