As much as I hate IW for what they did to MP, I have to admit that the SP storyline wasn't too bad and the gameplay was spot on. I mean, what other game lets you defend an American suburban neighborhood from invading Russians?

What I didn't get was why the Russian army, the regular army of a major nation, was armed with such a hodgepodge of weapons. Do the developers not realize that armies have standard equipment? Why does one guy have a compact smg from germany, and another guy a full size rifle from france, and then the next guy an ak-47 (Didn't they stop using these in lieu of the ak74 years ago? Isn't this set in the future?)

Plus, the AI was just stupid, what self-preserving soldier stands in the middle of the street just blazing away? Even Half-Life's marines scrambled for cover, and that was 1998!

And I still don't know WTF that whole south america thing was

The Modern Warfare series has become the Michael Bay production of gaming.

However, the flow chart wasn't funny at all.

The problem is that people take MW2's story way too seriously.

It's like one of those summer blockbuster action flicks. They're decent and entertaining movies when you suspend your thinking for a while. MW2 (and MW1) were very entertaining. No, it did not have a story that made you think, but hell, it was pretty damn entertaining.

I never played MW2, but after watching all the cutscenes on Youtube that's got to be one of the worst plots I have ever seen.

MW2's story was more action packed and fun, tbh. You just have to suspend belief for a little while to play it, that's all.

I played MW2's story for the same reason I watched Transformers: they're fun.

Possible spoilers

Pretty much another cookie cutter shooter. Run here, shoot unlimited spawning enemies, rinse and repeat. Very little intensity. The snow mobile scene was cool but could have been much better and it was way too short. The shower scene taken from The Rock movie was cool too. And goddamnit, why was there no lean?

That's also my opinion, story cant be measured as great with this poor ending, but as always that is very personal. But it hasnt always to be a great story to be very, very entertaining. I like it very much, but its definitely not a great, deep story
