I have had a Creative MuVo TX 256Mb (Version 1.10.05) for just about a year. It?s a great thing, and it has got a bit beaten up over its apparent ?lifetime?. Last night I accidentally left it in the back of a Windows 98 PC, without ejecting it. I wasn?t reading form it though. I didn?t realise it was still there until about 10 minutes after I had shutdown. I pulled it out and when I switched it on it said there was no music, and no free space! So its started lying methinks... I put it into my PC (XP Pro SP2) and copied all of the files off it. OK, it seemed to be working fine. When I try to re-format it, it gets half way and then hangs. Under ?98 explorer stops responding and under XP it says ?Windows Couldn?t Complete the Reformat?.
This is a real problem as I carry my GCSE work around on it so I need a solution quick...
As an aside, can the likes of Zen (I want one!) or iPod display a file of the lyrics while it?s playing? It would revolutionise the sing-along!! Go on we all do it...
