Just got my muvo^2 and having a problem with it. It wont turn on/work. It worked when i first got it (low battery though)

Left the charger behind, and plugged it in via usb. In the manual it says it can charge via USB. It has 2 important notes:

1) do not charge your players battery via usb port until you have installed software

well thats weird, but i did it anyways, though i DIDNT reset the computer. why do you think this is?

2) plug in the muvo (i did this - it was detected) and then unplug it via windows to beging the charging.

I did this as well.

left it plugged in for 3 hrs, now it wont turn on

thanks alot guys!

Try taking the battery out of the muvo - it can sometimes get itself into some sort of sulk, and needs a reset before it will start working again.

Note that to make the muvo charge by USB - you first connect it and allow it to be detected, and then *eject* it, in the 'my computer' window. Do not use the 'unplug' device option. If you do not *eject* the 'disk' it will not start charging, instead the muvo will run on batteries until it runs out of power. You may, in fact, have just run the battery down so far that it now won't start up. (Note that on Win2k and WinXP - you must have administrator privilege to start charging, normal user/power user accounts are not able to 'eject').

You don't need to install the software first - in fact there is no driver to install on Win2k/XP.

well, my muvo^2 4Gb gets drained beeing connected through the USB without beeing connected to the power. So maybe your's does the same 😉
