Muting PC Beep in Vista

When I use headphones in the front audio jack I keep hearing static with my HT Omega card. With the onboard sound, I could make that go away if I just mute the PC Beep in the speaker settings. I don't have that setting with the Omega card.

So is there a way to mute it somehow in Vista?

Edit: I only get the static if I'm using the front audio jack. I don't get this problem if I plug through my speakers or directly to sound card.

Dev manager > view > show hidden devices > non plug and play drivers > Right click BEEP and disable.

Um. What beep are you talking about? From the sound card or from the motherboard?

There's no beep but there's a lot of static. It's only happens when I click on a menu or put my mouse over a link.

That sounds more like interference with your sound card from the connector -> sound card.

Component replacement. That means different soundcard and/or different headphones.
