If the dehumidifier doesn't work, I'm not sure what it could be, that would really really suck though.

That PB13 looks beautiful, I am running a BIC Accoustech PL-200, doesn't go quite as low, and nowhere near as much power, but it fit my budget, and works very well in my house. (Currently have it in living room, as my man cave is a work in progress ... )

Are you running a projector with that setup? Or no, because of the light coming in from the back yard?

PL-200 is a great bargin sub. No projector. Hopefully someday. Right now its a Pioneer KRP-500M calibrated by D-Nice :) I have window treatment up that blocks the sunlight since it does hit that side of the house in the evening.

I think some pro speakers will be my next purchase since im mostly 90% HT down there. Looking at the TCA PRO 10's right now since they are not too expensive. But they are new and not a ton of reviews yet.

Well, it may not be huge, but, it doesn't look like you're making any compromises in quality with that monitor :)

The folks on AVS seem really excited about those TCA PRO 10s ... good sound, good efficiency, and fair pricing... Probably in 2-3 months you'll have a good number of reviews out there and will have enough good info to make a sound decision :)

In the mean time, best of luck resolving the musty smell.

i would second the de-humidifier. Back in march we had some bad rain storms and part of my basement took on some water. I cleaned it all up but after a couple days it smelled musty. So i dropped $250 for a de-humidifier at Lowes. After two weeks (and emptying it almost twice a day). The room smelled fine and I was amazed at how much water it pulled out of the air.

Does the smell return if you dont run the de-humidifier for awhile? The smell doesnt seem to be as bad the past day or 2 so hoping it just goes away on its own LOL

Have you got any fresh air comming in the musty area? You say the smell goes away when you open windows. Perhaps you should have an external fresh air fan installed so you got some air flow

i am not familiar with basements and issues surronding them so listen to other guys about that
