Looks nice. I have a black one with red interior. Thinking about any mods?
At most re-flashing the computer to change the throttle behaviour and moving to a cone intake. Not going to do anything big and definitely nothing that would make the car need higher than the 87 octane it needs now.

Are you kidding? Ford recommends 87 for a 300+ hp V8?

BTW, nice ride. I'm jealous. Want to sleep with me?

Agreed. It eats gas as it is. I'm getting about 18.5 to 19 because I drive like a maniac.

To the 87 Octane question: Yup. She only needs regular.

To the other question: Ewwwww... *shudder* 😛

Man, that's what we get out of our V6 Maxima...

Good looking car, I really wanted the black but decided against it because of the upkeep. Picked it up with 1 mile on it on 1/3/06. Putting my flowmasters on this weekend. Tungsten Mustang

ford did a nice job with the motor, you have to give them that. They got 9.8 comp ratios on those things, which are borderline high for 87, but it just shows how nicely the thing is designed. Now if only it was dry sump.

Really? And what does say.. a McLaren F1 do for ya?

Not much. Granted it's an awesome car, but I've been a Mustang fanatic since I was pretty young. I honestly don't know what it is. Vintage and these new body styles really get me going. I'm absolutely... obsessively in love.

Got it from Sound Ford after all? 🙂

I had an 05 Mustang for about a week during Christmas. Red one, big stereo. Nice car though. I prefer driving a Ford 500, but I'm weird like that.

I'd say supercharge it after the warranty expires.

I think I'll stick to natural aspiration. An S/C would get me into way too much trouble and besides, I already have one forced-induction car. I figure on keeping her in an 87 octane tune. Of course, that'll probably change. 😛

Yeah, Sound Ford was not the easiest to work with in sales but they gave me a very favorable trade-in. Besides, who expects a car salesman to be easy to work on. As soon as I mentioned X-Plan, the service level dropped off about 4 notches out of 5, and when I refused the extended warranty and all the other extra cost stuff they try to push after the sale it dropped the last notch too.

The 500 is a great car too, but I've never been able to really get to like the way a FWD car feels when I drive it. It's just a personal preference, and to each his (or her) own though.

sweet piece of design, its one of the best "retro" cars out there, well theres like only three really, this and the 300 gangster car and the gt40. and i don't like any previous mustang designs at all to begin with heh. it just destroys botched attempts at retro like that disgusting charger and stuff. its nice to see a domestic vehicle that makes its heritage look good. unlike so many of the blah domestic cars that retain styling cues of ugly designs that should just be completely scrapped.

I thought about buying one when they came out. At the time i had a 2001 Mustang GT and a 2004 Mustang GT convertible. I opted for the Honda S2000 instead. Sweet ride though. Congrats. (im going to wait for the cobra convertible)
