Same face for the stereo head unit too. 😉 I believe that the air vents are shared with the Mazda 6 and a few other Ford/Mazda products as well.

Those 5 spoke wheels are sweet, excellent choice! Makes me miss my old Stangs. I had a black convertible and a torch red coupe, both GTs and both 5 spds.

Do you notice any cowl shake in the new Stang? I know it has a much better chassis than the previous fox based chassis. I really need to go drive one sometime.

If he keeps it waxed and does a full detail once or twice a year that car will look great for a long time. Meguiars professional glaze is excellent at removing swirls from black paint and making it look like a showcar finish.

I agree with you on keeping black clean, but it just looks sooo good when it is clean that I decided to put up with it. 🙂 (Yeah, logical choice when right out the window, I know. 😛 )

Yea your right. In fact the whole cluster from the radio down is the same, air conditioner and heater controls also. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I kinda like the look of the new F150 interior.

I haven't noticed any rattles anywhere in the car. Honestly it feels like the carved it all from a single chunk of steel. The DEW98 platform has been praised from day one and I can tell why.

It has done well on the track too. I think this is quite possibly the best mass produced Mustang Ford has ever made.
 
mmmmm I love the look of the new Mustangs. Someone on campus has a white one with red stripes... ooooooooooo it is so nice!

I think Ford did the right thing by not re-inventing the wheel in places they didn't need to. The money that was saved by not designing special radio faces, climate controls, or air vents was well spent on the engine, drivetrain, and chassis.

I hate all domestics, except for the new mustangs. Quality aside, it's friggin SEXY.

Gonna wait for 2-3 years and buy one for $5k 😛

At most re-flashing the computer to change the throttle behaviour and moving to a cone intake. Not going to do anything big and definitely nothing that would make the car need higher than the 87 octane it needs now.

Good luck. I bargained hard and got a great deal. I paid less for that '06 than KBB for an identical '05 with 10,000 miles.
