Ford GT-R Concept

More pics, the car has such a bad-ass stance, and looks a lot better than that single pic posted a while back.

Sure, the wing may be tall, but it's functional for a car that has 440hp and is race-ready.

I'm guessing this won't hit production like this, but it's not too out of the question as the 2003/2004 cobras have 390hp factory spec, and 424 fwhp; 360 rwhp from the dyno. So it doesn't seem to be asking too much to claim fifty more horsepower. I'm sure it will not be $35,000 like the current cobra, if it does come out...

Odd how they have all these really high powered mustang models after the camaro and firebird are gone...such a pitty.

Edit: Linked

Why don't they just call it Skyline too if they are going to rip off the GT-R? I mean jeez.. even the hyphen?? Then again American car companies like to do that.. GTO for example.

it's just three letters man. and the mustang already laid claim to two of them before.
the skyline isn't the only car in history to be GTR badged.

and explain the GTO thing

Yeah but that's not GT-R. It would be one thing to just use the 3 letters, but the hyphen too.. that is too much.

As for the GTO, Pontiac got the name from the Ferrari GTO.

The Crammer crate engine runs $14,995. This car will almost never see the light of day as an actual production car

the funny thing is there are two mustangs with GT-R emblems on them running around here, one also has kanji on his car which is wrong, but close to what he probably thinks it means (I can't remember the 'word').

It's a video w/ a black man who owns a 2000 Mustang with a GTR badge on it, and the black man says "Oh, it's the 2000 model, special edition" and the guy with the camera asks what's in it, and the black man answers yes to "So you got rotary in there?" "So it's rotary, with headers and pistons and all that?" and the black man continues to answer yes. It also supposedly has a turbo, when asked what kind of intercooler it has the black man responds "Uhh I dunno it came with it."

I remember it so well because it was so funny.

ummm...there are a lot of cars with the suffix GT-R. It's common for any race-going car from the Ultima GT-R to the Skyline GT-R, to the Mustang GT-R.

And GTO is there to show that the car is homolugated for the race series.
