I am looking to buy a Mustang recently, and I love the look of the dark grey (charcoal?) 2003 Corba SVT with black convertible top, and the two tone leather interior.

But, before I buy I want to know what my options are in 2000-2004 range for a used Mustang. I am not familar with the models, engines colors, etc. Is there any site out there where I can find this info out?

Any help would be appreciated, I would provide more info on what type of Mustang I want, but I am still not really sure of what kinds there even are.

Thanks 🙂

just don't get yellow.

Nope I decided on dark grey. I think the silver mustangs look too generic.

the 03 cobra is so ridiculously badass.

http://www.svtperformance.com/

check out that website. brand new 03 cobras were going for under 30k when i was looking like 2 years ago. ridiculously easy to modify (talking bolt ons for some monster hp/tq increases) and a bullet proof engine (although the other parts weren't as much; hahaha).

i guess on a used i would be careful that the previous owner didn't abuse it.

but what a fun car

Thanks for your help everyone, after some looking around I got one shipped up form Florida, in my sig! 😀

You gotta hear the supercharger whine, it sounds like a blender. 😀

the gt and the cobra has the same block and just a tad more options.
Cobra has a better rear end, and a supercharger, and a better clutch for the supercharger.

I love mustangs!
I had a 97 3.8 v6, that i modified the hell out of for my first car and mod projects.
Bigger TB
Custom Exhaust
Custom intake
Dual platium plugs and better wires
Computer chip

The cobra has an independent rear suspension while the gt has a standard 4 point rear diff.

no it should not be gummy.. it should feel very stout and precise..

and the 2006 Shelby GTH (even the regular GT) are in a whole nother class than the older GTs and Cobras..
the new stangs are much faster and feel alot better in general..
if I could afford a used 2003 Cobra i would take that cash and out it down on a 2006 GT instead..
worlds of difference...
word of advice... run far far away from Ford Automatics they are absolute garbage...specially in the stangs..

This is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard.

Please do not listen to this person. The 2003, 2004 SVT Cobras are significantly faster, and respond MUCH better to mods than any 05+ GT. (Or GTH). Note also that stock, the SVT cobra 03/04 only came as a 6 speed.

Although, people who have modified theirs extensively have found that they can be faster with an automatic transmission, and live axle.
