Must reset computer for win2k to start - HELP!

I have a very peculiar problem. I have been running win2k for about two months now and everything works great - I just have one problem. When I turn on my computer, I get to the wallpaper (no taskbar or anything), and then the computer freezes - sometime I get a box with "Please Wait..." in the top bar. Anyhow, all I have to do is hit the reset button on my computer and then the os starts right up and everything works fine. This is really irritating, and I would appreciate any help (and leaving the computer on 24/7 is NOT an option).

Maybe there's some program that causes this , check every program that starts with win2k , or maybe you have some device that won't initialize really fast ...
