Ok, so I launched MW3 ,,,, and I was playing, never touched in game setting except res to 1080p ,,,,, I had 8x CSAA FXAA 16xAF and my avg was 39fps in fights and when I shoot and peeps and explosions,,,, it didnt drop it was sorta like 39 all the time and 36fps maybe for a split sec.

Anyhow I was like this needs to be 60fps avg, so first thing I did was go to MW3 options and change graphics detail to normal .. and took off some options. I ran the game again same map, and I get the same FPS. Soo I took it back to default,, auto.

So now i go let me turn off AA ... so I turned that off and still 39fps when the game starts.

Then I go ok then let me take it to 16x AA CSAA FXAA and the game still ran at 39fps........ then I go let me take down resolution to 1400x900 and still 39fps.

So there you have it,, go figure uh

Piracy is bad, mm'kay?

You must be CPU bottle necked by the Q6600. That's weird with your heavy over clock. I had a similar issue with the 2010 NFS Hot Pursuit. I couldn't get out of the 30s with a Q6600 no matter the settings. I even upgraded GPU from a 9800GTX to a 460 and still couldn't get over 30 FPS. Swapped board and CPU and bam, 70FPS. Some crap console ports are heavily dependant on the CPU.

Lol. This is the most common knowledge you can expect. Most wanted will probably run at 10-15 fps for you regardless of any setting.

Anything less than a 2500k sucks today.

I agree about the 2500k thing. Even an I3 2100 makes a mockery of the most expensive 775 chips.

Thanks all, for your response. Yes that is what I figured,, CPU is big time bottleneck.

My dad has my same video card and gets 7.9 in win7 ,, I get 7.6 ,,,,, so that tells you right there its CPU bottleneck. Wow I wouldn't think so, I was wrong. Im bottlenecking right now with this used pos mobo. thx again for quick responses. gl

Do you take the WEI scores seriously?

WEI doesn't account for PCB color though. Are you sure your PCBs are the same?

a Q6600@3.5GHz can make for a huge CPU bottleneck in badly coded games.

As an example, I tested a Q9650@4GHz VS a 2500K@4.5GHz in Oblivion. I tried both a GTX 260 and a GTX 570. Q9650 system would fall in the low 30's at certain spots, like the tall grass outside Anvil. 2500K would keep 60FPS on those spots, with both the GTX 260 and the GTX 570. It didn't matter if I sat the 2500K to stock, it would still keep 60FPS in those spots.

There are a few games that will be severely CPU bottlenecked by Quad Core 775, Bulldozers or AMD Phenom II's, no matter if they are overclocked.

Got to love cpu bottlenecks.

I have a oced gtx670 ftw that is bottlenecked often enough at 1440x900 in BF3 or hell any of the lower resolutions by my i5 2500 non k i have to enable a fps limitation or else i run into some major stuttering when i pump out over 100fps.

Still got those famous dips into the 50s that even the sli gtx670 owners have at 1080P with oced 3930k chips LOL.

No I don't ... It's stupid. It says in Win 7 Im a 7.3 and my dads a-data is 7.5

in Windows 8 Im a 7.2 ,,,,,,,, so I know it should be 7.9 but whatever,

Also Im running on 512k cluster size. thx gl

:colbert:

That's because you are running SATA 2 speeds.

LOL,figured as much as i have seen a amd x2 550 dual core and a 5 year old 8800gts pull better average frames then that in BLOPS....

God bless you Tweakboy but for the love of christ, buy a 3770k, pick up a gtx670/7950 and stop trying to bootleg games.:p

Get with the times bro,BLOPS2 is the new rage these days.!

thanks for the working links adamk47 :)
tweakboy, you should try actually paying for games.

I always wondered at the idiocy of stealth game faults when a crack is detected though.
If someone is using the crack to "try before you buy" they now think the game is horribly broken and are far less likely to buy it...

What they should have is stealth crack detectors that check the date, once the date is past a certain point in time scare the pirate with a message saying "cracked version detected" (who is then likely to buy the game in order to avoid imaginary consequences)
