johnny, if you basically replaced EVERYTHING for that CS'er (unabbreviated) and you say you bend over backwards for the nice people... I am wondering what more you could do for nice people than what you did for him? Do you hand deliver it in a fancy bow, along with a nice meal??? ;)

I DEFINITELY want to know what shop you work for...I want to buy my parts there!!! You couldn't ask for better service.

Ha ha. OK Parrot, I'll bite. ;)

1. Fact is, in an attempt to politely set him straight, he got snotty and continuously said I was wrong. I thought I communicated that to you guys. Guess not. I DEFINITELY do not fault him for his initial assumption. The sort of assumption he made is eay to make for the very reason you state, BUT HE WOULD NOT STAND TO BE CORRECTED. That's his fault. I don't see anywhere where I was condescending to the customer when simply trying to explain he was mistaken. HE was condescending to ME when I tried to correct him. Big difference there Parrot.

2. Simple physics. You put something of great mass, like an HSF, on top of a CPU and only anchor it down with the two plastic tabs that a motherboard offers and throw that package or drop the package or what not, and that fan is going to shoot off the top of that CPU like a ball in a baby rattle. The only way to prevent that would be to duct tape the HSF to the motherboard and I'm not going to do that for the obvious reasons (and that's not that I'm too lazy to go to my car for the roll of duct tape).

3. Oh yeah. That. I read it in a fortune cookie somewhere.

"You say you bend over backwards for the nice people... I am wondering what more you could do for nice people than what you did for him?"

For one, I'll usually upgrade shipping to send the product back if you live across the country and will actually bench test your outgoing, if you want me to, with parts off my test bench. But, most importantly, I won't raise my voice, call you a whiny little bitch, hang up on you or rant about you on the Anand forums. ;)

j/k btw. :p

JonnyGuru and his array of defenders,

My suggestion about shipping the heatsink attached to the cpu/mother board was just a suggestion, it is of no great relevance to me if any particular company or individual does so.

I thought in posting his messages here in a semi-public forum that JonnyGuru would be interested in other peoples opinions, in fact I've seen no message from him to indicate that I was wrong about that.

As to the description I used of the round-eyes comment on his website, the shape of a person's eyes is often associated with certain racial groups, much as skin color is. I personally don't see how seperating people into round-eyes and slant-eyes improves the human condition.

Sorry Parrot. I >>>DO<<< respect your opinion.

The words spoken by others does not reflect the opinions of jonnyguru.com, webhelp.org, htmlhq.org, htmlhq.net or badhabitrabbit.com.

Then again, I'm drunk.

Your suggestion for shipping has been heard and shot down in a reasonable manner. We're over that.

You WILL SEE no message from me that indicates that anyone else's opinion does not matter. I come here for the occasional "friendly face". Something I don't get to see often in "real life". Thank you. ;)

As for the round eye devil statement: I for one happen to be a round eyed devil frog and haven't been the same since I Chinese gentleman told me I was very dishonorable (his words) for refusing his package. As usual, I have no regrets.

This has been a WGRU production. Signing out.

In case I haven't made this clear, let me reiterate:

Okay; I'm not answering for Jon, but this is my take on the matter.

He knows where his friends are but doesn't remember the scsi card. :)

It did not take much effort to find out what my ass smells like just a bowl of my chili.

Very nice website (yours I mean). Very good documentation about what to do and not what to do when installing a fan on this chipset.

YAKKOBASTARD: I told you to E-M-A-I-L me. That's the little thingy in AOL that looks like a mail box and the voice that sounds like Wink Martindale comes from it and says "You've got mail!".

You do that and the SCSI card gets put in the glove box in the morning. :p

I didn't say they were fresh roses and they definately had natural fertilizer used on them.

My ass has informed me that he would like to have no further association with me because of this thread.

Well, the SCSI card is here.

I expect either you or your ass to come and pick it up. :p
