Well...i got this game, and i know skyrim is one of those super modable games out there. Im sure there are a lot of MUST have little mods that make the gameplay and experience much MUCH better.

anyone that played that could point out some to me?

(i know there is a 30gb of anime looks thread, but that its not exactly what im looking for)
 
Look in the official Skyrim thread or do a Search (which now works) and find one of the 2 dozen other Mod threads.

Also, get an account at SkyrimNexus and start browsing. You will need the script extender and Mod Manager at a minimum.

After that, just search for the most popular stuff and see what you like.
 
Skyrimnexus is a great place to start. Look through the most popular mods, especially at ones that are still being updated, and see what appeals to you. Are you looking for graphical improvements, extended gameplay features, total conversions? Without knowing what specifically you're after, it's hard to recommend something. I put together a short list of graphic improvement mods that I personally use which I find enhance the look of the game while keeping the same tone as vanilla; none of that crazy nude anime pixie nonsense. There is also a project at skyrimnexus called the Texture Pack Combiner which is a hand-selected group of the best textures from the most popular texture packs out there; it's a lot of downloading, but the end results look pretty good.
