Anachronox. The game is funny as hell and has an interesting plot. DerwenArtos12 is selling it on the FS/T.

My standard answers are Planescape: Torment and Fallout, although the latter is post-apocalyptic, not fantasy.

Yea--I'm playing that currently. It's a pretty good game--I'd recommend it.
Unfortunately I'm considering restarting the game because I don't like the way my character turned out.

These as well as some of the more classic RPGs like Fallout 1 & 2 & Planescape Torment.

Then most of your options are the FF games released on the PC. RPGs with non-tactical turn-based combat went out of style on the PC back with Wizardry 3.

Morrowind.

If you want FF style, but a console. They don't really make those on the PC I'm afraid.

There was an older CRPG called Anachronox - it was scifi-ish, with some minor fantasy elements, but definitely had the console feel. Awesome story, very humurous, great voice acting, good graphics (considering it uses a modified q2 engine) And once the patches were appllied, pretty stable.
