What is supposed to be so great about the Audigy? I haven't been following up on the sound card arena....
 
Little better sound. Firewire port as an added bonus. To me, no biggie. But I have $50 speakers so don't mind me 🙂
 
I haven't seen anything that greatly impresses me.

It's a little better than an SBLive!, and it has the bonus of a FireWire port. I still use my gameport (yeah I know I'm stilll living in the 13th century) so I'd kind of like to keep that, plus my Santa Cruz has a dedicated headphone jack which I really like.
So I'm not planning to move any time soon.
 
Actually, there's another great improvment over Live series, which is more powerful SPU (Sound Prcessor Unit). Which spares more resource on CPU that can be used by other applications if needed.
 
They finally added a breakaway box (very nice if you can't give up a bay). $250 though. Pricey. Sticking with my 5.1.
