I want to expand my already bulging DVD collection.
Anyone have suggestions for essential additions? I'm more interested in action movies or any movie with good sound design (DTS a bonus.)

On my list so far:
Shawshank Redemption
Green Mile
Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas
Amadeus
Akira
Last Man Standing (dumb, dumb, movie...but lots o' shootin!)
Jurassic Park (DTS)

*edit*
I already have Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, and Matrix. :)

Dazed & Confused
Super Troopers

Two stupid funny movies that everyone needs.

Also if you like strange Sci-Fi, get the Lexx TV series. VERY good stuff.

I don't know how many hundreds of movies I've seen, but that was the only one I've ever walked out of.

Do you have the special extended edition of lotr? Usual suspects was good, I really really like hackers for some reason and have watched it many times. Good choices on the list you made. Hmm, I have futurama, family guy, and the simpsons on dvd, those are great, the comentary breathes new life into the shows. X-Men 1.5 would be a good one to add, same with Spiderman, Blade 1 and 2, basically any marvel movie...
