Must have blackberry apps?

I have a droid as a personal phone but picked up a verizon curve for work. Cute little phone that does it's main purpose really well, so no complaints here. What are some key apps I should get? I'm keeping pandora/slacker on my droid since it drains batteries, but any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

You probably won't get too much love around here for blackberry, especially when it comes to apps. I'd check on crackberry. I had the sudoku app for killing time on my BB, also the google apps are pretty slick (but if you have a droid, then use that for google stuff).

does the ebay one let you view the site as if doing so on a desktop?

If it did that it would just be a web browser... It allows you to Search, bid, Full "My eBay" functions, read messages, contact sellers, view items and pictures, check watched items and add reminders to your calendar for watched items. All notifications are Push and come in with their own logo into the usual messages system.

The only thing it can't do is set up an Auction.

Other Apps I use:-

- Endomondo
- ScoreMobile
- Poynt
- Bloomberg Mobile
- Antenna meter ( :p )
- Urban Spoon
- Google Maps, obvious, but it's great as it has street view now, too.
- Flip Silent - Storm only, silences an incomming call by turning the device over to face down. Great for when you're in a meeting and forgot to set Silent mode and don't want to hit Ignore.
- QuickTips, good little tip calc

All my games are touch or OpenGL based, so not worth me recommending those to a Keyboard device user.

I really enjoy my Storm 2. It's a very solid device, gets stuff done and has some pretty cool games for when I'm travelling, which is often.

/0 awaits the trolls to tell him why his opinion is wrong.

If you don't mind me picking your brain some more - how's:
-Battery life
-Typing
-Web browsing

I still have a few weeks left to return my curve and, honestly, I like that it's kinda boring and simple. I like that I'm not going to run the battery out playing a game of abduction.. But if the storm 2 has stellar battery life and is easy to type on then I may just swap it.

Battery life is excellent. I'll use today's usage as an example. My device is on my Corporate BES, FYI;

Took is off the bedside dock at 8am, so at 100% with:-

- 3G on
- WiFi on
- Bluetooth on (I just left it on as I was using my wifes car which needs BT)
- Made a few calls, rec'd a few calls, mail, Viigo, SMSs, etc.

5:30pm, battery is sitting @ 78%.

Typing. Once you get used to the clicky screen it's very fast. I'm much faster on this than on my 2.1 Android's soft OR hard keyboard. I use it landscape, always, and I defy anyone to beat me on any other device. That being said, it's not for everyone.

Browsing. It's shit. It's OS5, so you can browse, but it's functional, not good. Some pages won't render due to 'Entity too large' errors, which is annoying. I cannot advise it for browsing. OS6 browsing is very good, but...see next paragraph.

I would suggest a 9700 before a Storm2, simply because the Storm2 will not get OS6, but the 9700 will.

Anymore, facebook and twitter are the only apps I use on a daily basis. The Blackberry Podcast app is a nice idea, but it's hindered by the OS' limitation of download sizes via cell data. Because of this, it only works with wifi which sucks as most BB's dont have wifi.

I do also have a program called radio saver that will shut off the phone's radio if I get below a certain signal threshold, then periodically look for a signal and turn the radio back on when you have signal again. Great for fringe areas.

Minor thread divert; had a friend just stop by that transferred departments and he had a new iphone4 on him. He said he just took the internal camera out and it was rather easy (<an hour to complete).

Anyone know how easy it would be to do this for the newer BBs (particularly those on the tmobile system:) )
