I just bought a couple Android set top boxes to play around with. I have a little bit of experience with Android 4.2 on a phone/tablet, but haven't used a set top box before.

Specs: Quad core cortex A9r4 processor Octo core Mali 450 GPU
Kitkat 4.4 802.11n Bluetooth 4.0
8 GB ROM, 2 GB RAM

If any of you have experience with Android set top boxes, I was hoping you might be able to answer 3 questions:

1) what's the best gamepad to use for gaming on it?

2) What are a couple of good games for local simultaneous multiplayer? (2 player)

3) What are your 2 favorite apps that you use on it all the time?

Thanks so much - I'm a bit worried that this thing won't work well, since Android is pretty much set up to use touch feedback on a small screen.

1. PS3's controller via Sixaxis app

2. Emulated games from older generations of consoles (if you own those games don't steal).

3. All-time favorite is Kodi for media playing. Second favorite is EPSXE for perfect PS1 emulation.

...right.
A lot of those older games the developers dont care since they are not sold anymore and they make no money from them.

I'm not a big fan of the Playstation controller. My all time favorite was the Sega Genesis controller, followed by the Atari Jaguar. After that, I suppose 3rd place for me might be the Xbox 360 controller. Will any of these work with some sort of adapter for an Android set top box?

Evidently Kodi is already built in on this unit. I didn't even realize that it was just the new name for XBMC until I just read about the name change online.

Can anyone recommend any newer Android multplayer games that 2 people could enjoy from a couch?
