That's tough, enough changed from 10.1 to 10.2 that Jaguar is the minimum for most things. Off the bat you should run Software Update and make sure you have everything.

Yeah. The last time I worked on a Mac server running 10.2.8 (I think), I had a really hard time finding software for it. A lot of stuff changes from version to version.

I would suggest VirtualPC.

TinkerTool (system configuration) and GraphicConverter (shareware w/ nagscreen) are 10.1.5 compatible. In case you haven't already, upgrade to 10.1.5. It's free. Oh and 10.2.8 is the maximum OS for the G3 beige. You can't run Panther or Tiger (10.3 and 10.4 respectively) on this machine.
