Must GOP presidential candidates be so out of touch with reality?

Al Gore lost Tennessee, by your logic this demonstrates Al Gore was so out of touch with reality he was a fool to even try to run for President.

Don't quit your day job.

Would a sane person even consider running for President if they have zero support in either of their 2 'home states'?

Pin-up boy got chased out of the Senate by MA voters, and laughed at by possible voters up in NH. Now he's in Iowa testing the waters? LMAO

Kind of like Hillary Clinton winning a Senate seat in her home State of Arkansas? ohhh wait, she had to falsely claim a residence in New York State didn't she? How's her out of touch run for President going ?

does losing by 5% in a very, very blue state really count as getting laughed and chased out by voters? Kennedy would win his MA elections by ~40%

Amusing waves of denial & obfuscation already lapping at our consciousnesses...

The 2016 Repub presidential primaries will be another clown car distraction, with the ultimate candidate determined by the big money contributors in advance.

Witness GWB, John McCain, & Mitt Romney.

her home state is Illinois.

:colbert:

also...Allan Keyes. Is there a state in this country that he doesn't claim for political convenience? 😀

True, she only lived in Arkansas for 20 years before moving to the White House in DC. Then claiming a New York address to run for Senator. Proud to have the first ever first lady to be subpoenaed, right?

you seem to think that someone moving to a state for purposes of office is someone unusual? :hmm:

So a prospective GOP candidate isn't liked in two states that almost always swing Democrat; therefore he has no chance in the general election; which, among other things, includes the remaining 48 states. Riiight...

I think the OP got hit in the logic.

Witness obama. Oh wait you're a partisan hack and you ignore your side.

Hee-hee. in 2008, Hillary was competitive up to near the end. She lost the nomination because the Obama forces played a better ground game in caucus states. There was no Democratic primary race in 2012 with Obama as the incumbent, so why bring it up, other than to obfuscate?

Once the nomination was secured, Obama did get a lot of money from Wall St, no doubt. They try to bet on the winners, and neither Romney nor McCain looked like winners to them.

As usual, I'm sure that you won't let facts interfere with the formulation of your opinions.
