Must Enter Username/Password Connecting to Share on Vista

On a workgroup network with 3 XP Pro computers and two Vista Home Premium computers, one of the Vista machines has a folder shared with the network. That machine has the username & password of every user who logs into the other 4 computers. The XP machines connect to the drive mapped to the share fine, but the 2nd Vista machine has a problem. When mapping the drive to the share it asks for the user name & password, even though I'm logged in using a username & password combo that exactly matches one in the user list on the Vista "server" machine. Using that same username & password on a XP machine allows access with no problem. The Vista machine also continues to ask sometimes when accessing files on the share.
