Muslim Traditions on Watches?

Hey guys. My friend and I want to get a good girlfriend of ours this nice watch for the holidays, since it is our senior year. I know that the Chinese have this watch supersition that if you give someone a watch you want them to die, or something like that. I was wondering if Muslims have any of these type of superstitions, since she is Muslim.

makes me want to give a chinese guy a watch though to see if he freaks out

I have never heard of such a superstition amongst Muslims.

I'd never heard that about Chinese. Anyone have a link? I don't care enough to search for one myself.
