they are afraid to speak out just like the lebonese. Why do you think the Lebonese army did not control Hezbolla.
An understandable stance when dealing with terrorists, so in one way I do not fault them.
And yet whats the option do nothing and let these types control the world?
It is a time for all people regardless of Nationality, race, religion to unite and remove this cancer on the human populace.

But we have moderate muslims afraid to speak up, Europe attempting appeasment once again (with the exception of Great Britian who seems to have learned something from WW2) , and 1/3 of the United States that think bush/cheney are the enemy.
Its a very dangerous time we live in.

I think thats unfair. Muslims are a very large group, spanning many nationalties.
And although I would not argue that a % of them in each culture has been radicalized.
I think many more just want to avoid trouble and persecution so they remain silent.
Unfortunately there always comes a time when good men and women can remain silent no more. I think we are nearing that time. I hope they realize this also and work for change in thier own countries.
It is an omnious sign though when sensable people can be bullied and silenced in a free nation like Canada.

I disagree with the bullying, and think its wrong and even immoral...

HOWEVER,

is he the definition of a "moderate" Muslim? His positions seem VERY liberal...even for the USA. As a self described Moderate Muslim Arab there are key issues that I simply don't agree with.

Sorry, I was just kidding. I don't blame the guy at all, and his going public with the painful truth is actually the type of thing that needs to happen more. I'm just disturbed that there aren't more...like he said:

"I'm...disappointed by how much leverage these extremists have," he said. Fatah said he has been assaulted both verbally and physically, including an incident in which he was attacked at an Islamic conference in Toronto by dozens of young Muslim men. He also said that an associate informed him of a discussion she overheard in which young men were discussing how Fatah should be killed."

He's implying its not such a small percentage after all.

Actually youy conveinently mis worded your response on purpose...heres what you should have said--
I think thats unfair for muslins to bully other muslins. Muslims are a very large group, spanning many nationalties.
And although I would not argue that a % of them in each culture has been radicalized.
A percentage?? who are we trying to fool. The majority has become redicalized!I think many more just want to avoid trouble and persecution so they remain silent.
YES-- the ones who silently support the radical muslims.
Unfortunately there always comes a time when good men and women can remain silent no more. By good men and women you are talking about the ones who are silently supporting the radical muslims?
I think we are nearing that time. I hope they realize this also and work for change in thier own countries. You are dreaming!! The only change they want is to see the whole world become muslim and the Jews to not exist! It is an omnious sign though when sensable people can be bullied and silenced in a free nation like Canada.
Its not really that ominous. Canada is not as free as you would believe![/quote]

fair point, but it went way beyond bullying. His and his families lifes were threatened.
Any hate crime laws in Canada yet Eh?
But you are right about how liberal his views are, which makes you wonder why the liberals in this country seem to be such terrorist apologists?

perhaps but that is a very wide brush. (I'm an optimist but not a dreamer) If things continue on theier present path, I think we can expect to see more backlash on the silent majority muslims in countries that they have always been welcomed in before.
